Give it a handle or profile URL and get the numbers an agent needs to judge a creator or a brand account: followers, engagement rate, average likes, comments and views, how often they post, and their recent posts. For Instagram accounts in Exepal's creator index you also get follower history and 30-day growth.

Call it over HTTP

No account and no API key. The first response is 402 Payment Required with the price; an x402-capable client pays in USDC on Base and retries. You're only charged when the call succeeds.

Questions

Can it read private accounts?

No. Public profiles only. A private, renamed or missing account returns an error and you are not charged.

How fresh is the data?

By default anything up to 72 hours old is served from cache; pass maxAgeHours (1 to 720) to choose. Older than that is fetched live.

Why is TikTok and YouTube $0.02?

Their upstream scrapers bill per video, so recent videos cost more to fetch than an Instagram profile.
