Need 12 testers for 14 days? Get 14 real ones for $25.

New Google Play developer accounts can't publish until 12 people have tested the app in a closed test for 14 days in a row. We add 14 real Android users to your test, they use your app for the full 14 days, and you get a report for your production request.

The rule

Why Google wants 12 testers first

If you opened a personal Google Play developer account after November 13, 2023, you have to run a closed test with at least 12 testers who stay opted in for at least 14 days in a row before you can apply for production access. Finding 12 people who will actually install your app and keep it for two weeks is the hard part. That's what we do.

14, not 12

A buffer built in

If one tester leaves early, your 14-day clock can reset. We add 14 so you stay above 12 the whole time.

Questions

Google Play closed testing FAQ

How many testers does Google Play need for a closed test?
Personal developer accounts created after November 13, 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers who stay opted in for at least 14 days in a row before they can apply for production access. We add 14 testers, so one person dropping out doesn't reset your 14 days.
Are these real people on real phones?
Yes. Every tester is a real person on their own Android phone who signed up at exepal.com/testers. No emulators, no bots and no fake accounts.
What do I need to give you?
Your closed testing opt-in link from Play Console (or the Google Group or email list you use) and the app's name. We send you the 14 Gmail addresses to add to your testers list if you use an email list.
Will the testers actually use my app?
Yes. They open your app on several days across the 14 days and each sends a short note on bugs, crashes and confusing screens. You get a report at the end that helps with Google's production access questions.
Does this guarantee Google approves my app?
No. Google decides. We make sure 12 or more real testers stay opted in and use your app for the full 14 days, which is the requirement. We never post reviews, ratings or fake installs.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
$25 for the full 14-day test with 14 testers. Order with no card: we email you an invoice, and testing starts as soon as it's paid. If we can't start within 7 days of payment, you get a full refund.
Can you test iPhone apps or websites too?
Yes. For feedback on any app or website, order 10 real testers for $29 at exepal.com/user-testing. For a website, you can also run AI testers right now at exepal.com/ai-testers, first 3 free.
